literacy, women's health, and human rights. The FAWCO Foundation announces
its Education Award and Development Grant winners at the meeting.
The conference also offers practical training sessions in organizational

own organizations.

for the delegates and their guests. Past speakers include Sarah Ferguson,
Duchess of York; the seventh President of Ireland, Mary Robinson; and H.M.

FAUSA
selected the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center as our
official charity of the Boston Conference.
The group works with abused Americans and their children in foreign countries to provide domestic violence and child abuse advocacy, resources and tools so that they can navigate the complicated jurisdictional, legal and social international landscapes, to be able to live their lives free of abuse either in the foreign country or back in the United States. This is achieved via an international toll free crisis line, 866-USWOMEN, accessible from 175 countries, serving a population estimated at 6 million American civilians overseas.
You can learn more about the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center and read the inspiring story of its founder (and FAUSA member), Paula Lucas, on their website: http://www.866uswomen.org.

Coming through time with the help of historical interpreter, Linda Myer, Mrs. Adams will join us at our opening reception, and everyone will have a chance to ask her about her life and times.
We are very pleased to announce that one of the speakers at the FAWCO Conference in March will be the Peabody award-winning host of Public Radio International 's news magazine Here and Now - Robin Young.
During her 25 years of broadcast experience, Robin reported for NBC,
CBS, and ABC television, and for several years was substitute host
and correspondent for the Today Show.
She has received several Emmy Awards for her television work, as well as cable's Ace award, the Religious Public Relations Council's Wilbur Award, and the National Conference of Christians and Jews Gold Award. She has also received radio's regional Edward R. Murrow award.
