 About FAWCO Alumnae USA

What does FAUSA Mean?

FAUSA stands for "FAWCO Alumnae USA".
If you've lived overseas and been involved in an American or International Women's Club, you've likely heard the acronym "FAWCO" mentioned. FAWCO stands for Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas.  Our organization - FAUSA - started with a small group of alumnae from FAWCO who were drawn together by their expatriate experience and the joys, challenges, and changes involved in returning home to the USA.

How is FAUSA Organized?

Like the women's club you belonged to while overseas, FAUSA is completely run by volunteers. It consists of elected officers and a number of standing committees. FAUSA headquarters is located wherever the elected President resides. The organization adheres to the FAUSA Constitution and Administrative Guidelines. We also have Regional Representatives throughout the USA as well as Metropolitan Coordinators in some of the larger cities.

FAUSA Officers

FAUSA consists of five (5) elected Officers. They each hold a two (2) year term which begins at the conclusion of the annual meeting and may serve up to two (2) successive terms in the same office.
